Traverse City Wine and Art Festival 2013
When it was announced that Rodriguez of “Searching for Sugar Man” would be the headliner along with other Michigan music acts at the Wine and Art Festival at Grand Traverse Commons, I hoped I would be able to get tickets. I was lucky enough to get a couple just before they sold out.
The weather predicted a chance of rain, so I was pleased when the day turned out pleasantly warm and sunny.
The beautiful and spacious grounds at Grand Traverse Commons were the perfect backdrop for such a venue. I thought it was very well organized.
Our first stop was the Winery Tent which show-cased offerings from thirty of our local wineries.
Next, we took a stroll over to the Art Garden featuring a wide array of art forms. As the music was broadcast over the entire area, we were able to take our time perusing these unique offerings without missing any of the entertainment.
It didn’t take long to entice us to the food area with all the wonderful aromas wafting around. We found a table to relax at, from which, we could see the entertainment stage and continued on to the food stations. After about twenty minutes I was in possession of some pork tacos from the Roaming Harvest location that proved to be worth the wait. They were delicious!
This event is going on my repeat list!
